CASA EGLIO

We wanted to find a tranquil holiday home to escape to... We fell in love with Casa Eglio the second we walked through the doors and saw the amazing view across the valley to Barga! The hamlet of Eglio (+- 80 inhabitants and 700 metres above sea level) is set in the municipality of Molazzana , 40 km from Lucca . Eglio can be reached from Gallicano and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, with a road where you can admire the entire middle valley of the Serchio, as well as driving from Lucca, you will pass the Devil's Bridge, of medieval origin.

The closest international airport is Pisa and the closest train station is Barga - Gallicano, although it is advisable to hire a car as the bus service is roughly one bus an hour from Gallicano to Eglio. There is a local friendly taxi service
